A 380-hectare safari park will be opened on the southern resort island of Phu Quoc on December 24, hosting around 540 species of wildlife, news website VnEconomy reported on Monday.
More than 2,000 animals, including hundreds belonging to rare species imported from different parts around the world such as addax antelopes and black and white ruffed lemurs, will be raised at the park, according to the report.
Vinpearl Safari Phu Quoc, as the park is officially known, will be divided into different areas, including the South America-Amazon, the Wild Africa, and the Night Safari.
Part of real estate conglomerate Vingroup’s Vinpearl resort complex, the safari is expected to expand during the later stages of the project.
Entrance fees will be VND400,000-500,000 ($17.8-22.3) a person.
